  1. Wife and I just got back from Oahu. Should have watched this video first. Next time I will try and stay on the north shore. I'm not one for Waikiki. It feels like the Vegas strip to me. Smells of rampant consumerism. Works for some people but not for me.
The north shore is to die for though! ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Wow thank you so very much for this video!! You’re funny and very informative. Going to Waikiki in Jan 2022 and just now starting to plan our trip.

    A couple of questions:

We are not planning to rent a car for our entire trip (1 week). Do you recommend any “must see” places we can only get to by car?

We are staying at the Imperial Suites. On days we dont have a rental…how far is the walk from the beach to restaurants or shops?

How easy/hard is it to get Uber?

Thank you so very much and please keep great videos like this coming!

  3. I miss living in Hawaii.

I agree with most of this list. I didn’t like Zippy’s. Thought it was the worst food ever.

As for not touching the turtles, he’s not kidding. It was a $20k fine when I moved away.

  4. Funny & to the point. Probably one of the best YouTube videos I have ever spent my precious time on. Got to learn a lot for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. Thank you!

  5. You have me sold on Helena's Hawaiian Food. All the other places looked good too, but at 7:30 when you're eating those short ribs in slow motion, you look like its deliciousness is about to make you cry, and that angelic guitar strumming music is playing in the background – that was pretty epic and unforgettable . I'm leaving for Hawaii today. I won't forget about Helena's Hawaiian Food.

  6. Loved it at first and by the time I left I hated it, mostly because of the military. Although I do miss it and I can’t believe I lived there and saw the view everyday.

  7. Matt, thanks for the info. I am heading to Waikiki this month 11/21 for the 8-9th time in 12-13 years and I will visit some of the places you listed. Keep doing what you do.
