Hiker’s Terrifying Fall From Hawaii Cliff Captured on GoPro

A hiker’s GoPro captured the insane moment she plunged down a 50-foot waterfall in Hawaii. Heather Friesen, 26, an American beach volleyball player was hiking Ka’au Crater Trail in Hawaii with friends in 2016 when she slipped and fell into fast-flowing water below. Footage of the ordeal has just been released. She broke 10 ribs, suffered a collapsed lung, and fractured her shoulder blade after losing her footing. Friesen had turned her GoPro camera on moments before she fell. #InsideEdition

  1. Thank God she's alive.
But being that close to the edge and knowing that it's watery, I just can't understand that. An advice to all, Lets be alert on any adventure since its supposed to be fun!

Its easier said than done because i had fallen head on a submerged rock and broken my tooth and it pierced my lips so from then on i take every caution in the world when walking on slippery areas. I have learned from my mistake of not being careful when in nature.
Just take this shortcut advise and be safe!

  2. So as a hiker if you see a cliff with a stream that's constantly hitting a rock never step on that wet surface you will slip just like this lady here. If it was dry she would be a okay but she was still a bit too close

  3. Oh man her scream after the fall truly was terrifying. She is VERY lucky to be alive and just fine not being crippled. Now I understand why we have all the warnings near places like that not to get close. It's because of American tourists.

  4. Why go so close to the edge in the first place . Smh.
10 broken ribs ouch! I’ve had two and yeah breathing is no picnic coughing or sneezing will feel like a knife penetrating you can’t imagine what 10 must feel like ugh. Living on the edge comes with a toll
